2014 Paris Motorshow: Top 5 Concept Cars

Highlights
I can imagine the smile on the face of designers when they're asked specifically to go beserk and design a car that showcases the various specific technologies that the respective company is offering. A concept car is thus not about keeping it simple or practical but the exact opposite and that is why each of them looks so exquisite. There were a number of these at the Paris Motorshow but we narrow them down and bring you the top 5.
Lamborghini Asterion
Who would have thought that we would see a plug-in hybrid supercar from Lamborghini, but here it is, the Asterion. 910bhp and a blast from 0-100km/h in 3 seconds speak volumes about the technology that goes under the hood of this car.
VW XL Sport
This is more of a revolutionary product. The XL Sport is based on the XL1 car and is a product mainly the 200 millionth car from the VW stable. What is interesting however, is that it a 197bhp Ducati engine powers this beast. Want to know more? Read more about it here.
Hyundai Intrado
Now, this one is a bit different as it explains a voyage that Hyundai has embarked on. The Intrado concept mainly showcases the company's light weight technology. The chassis and monocoque frame of the Intrado is all carbon fibre and that is what makes it interesting not to forget light weight.
Renault EOLAB
Renault brought the EOLAB to the party - a hybrid prototype which claims an ultra-low fuel economy of 100Km/l while producing as low as 22gm of CO2 per Km. There is more to be said but you can read it all here.
Honda Civic Type R II Concept
Ok, you might say there are more extravagant things out there than this Honda, but for me it is absolutely drool worthy. This one a precursor to the production car which will hit European markets soon and look at it, it's got a killer of a smile and an even murderous engine.
