It is a big platform for Honda at the Auto Expo this year. The company will be showcasing a range of cars and among them we will get to witness its latest offering - the Mobilio MPV. Having already showcased the MPV at the Indonesian Motorshow, we know what to expect from the car and that is one reason why it is a much anticipated launch.
Based on the versatile Brio platform, the Mobilio will compete against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Nissan Evalia, Chevrolet Enjoy and the Ashok Leyland Stile.
Honda Mobilio shares most of the interior components and styling with the Amaze. Things like dual-tone interior, three-spoke steering wheel, music system and air conditioner all find their way into this MPV. But since it's an MPV, all eyes are on the space it has to offer. The second row is spacious and can accommodate three adults but the last row can accommodate only two people. Yet it looks more spacious than the Ertiga.
Honda will carry over the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and the 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine for the Mobilio. Infact, the car looks so good on paper, we cant wait to see what it is like to drive. Is this another ace up Honda's sleeve? We'll have to wait and watch.
