The Best Police Cars in the World

Our childhood comprised of various games and chor-police was one of the favourite. Playing the cop would be add to the fun but clearly, we, as kids, were unaware of the things cops face in real life. In India, we've seen everything from Maruti Suzuki( Gypsy), Mahindra (Scorpio and Bolero) and even Tata (Sumo) cars being used as vehicles to transport cops to their respective beats and a few of them can't really keep up with even the hatchbacks of today and we feel it's time they got an upgrade. Probably they could take a few tips from these people.
Ariel Atom (United Kingdom)

Well, we all know what the Ariel Atom is capable of. For starters, since it goes from 0-100km/h in just about 2.5 seconds, it can rip your face apart; in this case it will be the police's face. Though it may look quite basic, the Formula 1 type styling makes it a beast on the road. With a top speed of 270km/h, it's difficult to run away from this one.
Lamborghini Huracan (Italy)

Oh yes, you read that right. But the Italian police or polizia is accustomed to having Lamborghinis in their fleet and that is because the Italian based car company donated it to them. Officially dubbed the Huracan LP 610-4 Polizia, it features the standard car's 602bhp 5.2-litre V10 engine, which gets its power down via all-wheel drive. 0-100km/h is dealt in 3.2 seconds before topping out 325km/h. Imagine being pulled over by one!
Audi R8 GTR (Germany)

Of course the Germans can't stay away from all this can they? The German police are the proud owners of an Audi (VLKAY.PK) R8 GTR. The supercar can do 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds and tops out at 325km/h. German company ABT Sportsline has given the R8 GTR a special makeover and has tuned the 5.2-litre V10 engine to be able to make 620bhp (standard makes 518bhp).
Aston Martin One-77 (UAE)

Undoubtedly, the police of the UAE have one of the most enviable collections of police cars. This one is unique because, well this is one of the 77 that were made but this one's modified for crime fighting purposes. The car comes equipped with a 7.3-litre V12 that does a 0-100km/h sprint in 3.5 seconds and boasts of a top speed of 354km/h. You want to be a part of the Dubai squad, don't you now?
Bugatti Veyron (UAE)

Yeah, they have this one too. The world's fastest production car and it's part of the Dubai police squad. It probably might be the costliest police car in the world too as it costs $1.6 million. The Dubai police didn't think the Ferrari FF, Lamborghini Aventador or the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG could chase down what people drove around in and the Veyron, well you can't really outrun it can you?. 0-100km/h is taken care of in 2.5 seconds and top speed is around 431km/h. We are sure they will be getting the Hennessey Venom GT, just to show people that they can keep up with the pace.
Volvo S60 Polestar (Australia)

The Australian Federal Police have begun testing a Polestar-tuned Volvo S60 to evaluate its potential as a police car. The car is still to be officially inducted into the fleet but from what we can see, it wears the livery very well.
The S60 T6 R-Design features a turbocharged 3.0-litre, six-cylinder engine that has been tuned to produce 329 bhp and develop 480 Nm of torque. The car also has been equipped with a light bar, police livery, a siren and a police radio.
