Come 2018 Mahindra will be introducing an updated version of its flagship SUV - the Mahindra XUV500. A test mule of this upcoming refreshed Mahindra XUV500 has been recently spotted in India again this time around we get to see some noticeable updates. The test mule is still covered in heavy camouflage but some of the mentionable updates that we do see between the gaps include - new headlamps, possibly a redesigned grille, and revised taillamps among others. This is a much-needed update for the XUV500, which last received a facelift a little over two years ago, in 2015.

As mentioned before, the camouflage hides a lot of the changes that the XUV500 has to offers, but among the ones that we see here include a redesigned pair of headlamps with double barrel projector lights, similar to the existing one but with some added chrome details. Also, the signature S-shaped LED daytime running lamps have been replaced by a new LED strip, which now underlines the headlamps, in the updated model. Also, the fact the front radiator grille is completely covered tells us that the SUV will come with an updated one along with a new front bumper.

2018 Mahindra XUV500 is also expected to get a redesigned tailgate

Although it does look like the rear bumper will also receive an update. Other exterior changes we expect to see include a new set of alloy wheels, revised cladding, and a restyling tailgate. The cabin is expected to largely remain unchanged apart from the additional features like a new touchscreen infotainment display, automatic climate control and rear parking camera among others.
