2019 Honda Africa Twin Bookings Open In India; Priced At Rs. 13.5 Lakh

- HMSI will accept bookings for only 50 units of 2019 Honda Africa Twin
- The motorcycle is priced at Rs. 13.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
- The engine specifications stay the same
The 2019 Honda Africa Twin has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 13.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has begun taking bookings for the motorcycle at its 22 Honda Wing World dealerships across India. HMSI will only accept bookings for first 50 customers. Honda will also offer a new 'Glint Wave Blue Metallic' colour wherein the motorcycle gets a golden-coloured handlebar and golden wheel rims. The ADV features second generation dual-clutch gearbox which has four riding modes along with a 'G switch' which is useful for half-clutch operation, especially for aggressive riding, to tackle mountain roads and a variety of off-road terrain.

The 2019 Africa Twin also features incline detection technology that helps detect whether the motorcycle is going up or down on a slope and accordingly, the system's ECU selects the right gear. It continues to get the same 999 cc parallel twin engine which churns out 87.7 bhp at 7,500rpm and the peak torque pumped out is 93.1 Nm at 6,000rpm. Other continued feature is the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), which offers seven engine settings for different terrains. In India, the Honda Africa Twin will be going up against the likes of Triumph Tiger 800, Ducati Multistrada 950 and the BMW F 850 GS.
