2019 Triumph Thruxton R TFC Images Revealed

- The Thruxton R TFC will have more power and higher spec components

Triumph may be planning to launch a new, limited-edition variant of the Triumph Thruxton R called the Triumph Thruxton R TFC. The TFC, short for Triumph Factory Custom, will have top-shelf components and carbon fibre bodywork, and is expected to be the top-of-the-line variant of the Thruxton R. The Thruxton R TFC is expected to be unveiled to the public in January 2019, and will also feature some changes to the Thruxton R's Bonneville 1200 High Power engine. So far, it's not clear whether the Thruxton R TFC will be introduced in India considering it will be a limited-edition, and more expensive variant.

The 1200 cc High Power engine will get a 10 bhp power increase
The 1200 cc High Power engine is expected to get a 10 bhp boost in power output - and will likely make around 106 bhp on the Thruxton R TFC, aided by the full titanium Vance & Hines exhaust and new engine mapping, including revised riding modes for Rain, Road and Sport. The addition of carbon fibre bits will also make the Thruxton R TFC lighter by nearly 5 kg, bringing the bike's dry weight to under 200 kg. The front fork will likely be an Ohlins NIX 30, matching the piggyback Ohlins shocks at the rear.

Full details of the new Thruxton R TFC are expected to be unveiled in January 2019, when the British manufacturer is also likely to disclose more details about the TFC line. The new Triumph Factory Custom line-up is expected to feature some ultra-premium variants, comprising of limited edition bikes, which will have higher performance and specification for both equipment and technology compared to the mainstream models. Expect more announcements from the TFC line-up for 2019, mostly in the Triumph modern classic category.
