2019 Volvo S60 Sedan Teased By Volvo Boss

The next generation Volvo S60 sedan is set to be revealed later this year, and will be making its way to India as well. While the Swedish automaker has confirmed that the model will be produced at its new plant in South Carolina, US; Volvo CEO Hakan Samuelsson recently teased the new S60 sedan in a tweet. The picture shows the 2019 Volvo S60 in a camouflaged avatar while undergoing testing in Norway. The all-new S60 will be sharing its underpinnings with the recently revealed V60 estate that will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show later this week.

The next generation Volvo S60 sedan is the latest model to be based on the automaker's Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). The same platform underpins other Volvo cars as well including the 60 and the larger 90 series. The picture tweeted by Samuelsson reveals the new imposing hood on the sedan with the Thor's Hammer-styled LED DRLs. The wide grille also takes prominence, as seen on the test mule. Given the V60 and S60 will be identical, expect to see a host of design concepts to be similar, while the rear is likely to get the C-shaped LED taillights inspired from the S90.
