2021 Land Rover Defender 90 Goes On Sale India, Prices Start At Rs. 76.57 Lakh

- The 2021 Land Rover Defender 90 gets 434 mm shorter wheelbase over 110
- The Defender 90 gets the 2.0-litre petrol & diesel, and 3.0-litre petrol
- The Land Rover Defender 90 will be available with four accessory packs
Having introduced the new-generation Defender in the 110 five-door guise in 2020, Land Rover India has now brought the Defender 90. The Land Rover Defender 90 was announced for India last year itself but sales only begin now. Prices for the three-door version of the SUV begin at Rs. 76.57 lakh for the standard version, going up to Rs. 1.12 crore for the Defender X. All prices are ex-showroom India. Visually, the model looks identical to the 110 but gets a shorter wheelbase, while missing out on the second row. The new Land Rover Defender 90 is available in several variants including the Defender, X-Dynamic and Defender X. These are further divided into S, SE and HSE specification packs.

Compared to the Defender 110, the Defender 90's wheelbase 434 mm shorter and both models share only about 60 per cent components

Engine options on the Land Rover Defender 90 include the 2.0-litre petrol with 296 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque, and the 3.0-litre petrol with 394 bhp and 550 Nm of peak torque. Diesel power comes from the 3.0-litre mill with 296 bhp 650 Nm of peak torque.

The 2021 Land Rover Defender 90 gets a jump seat between the front seats that makes it a six-seater
The new Land Rover Defender 90 is a six-seater with the central jump seat in the front row in place of the centre console. Like the Defender 110, it also comes with the Pivi Pro infotainment system with OTA updates. The SUV also gets Configurable Terrain Response, and the Terrain Response 2 with the new Wade program when driving through water. Land Rover is offering a number of personalisation options too including four accessory packs - Explorer, Adventure, Country and Urban Packs.
