2022 Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Launch Details Out

- The 2022 Skoda Kodiaq will gom on sale in India next month.
- It will be offered in India as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit.
- It gets subtle design updates, more features and a new turbo petrol motor
Skoda Auto India began with the local assembly of the new Kodiaq facelift earlier this month and the SUV is all set to go on sale in India next month. The 2022 Skoda Kodiaq facelift will be launched in India on January 10, 2022 and will be offered in India as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit. The Kodiaq is being assembled at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India's manufacturing facility in Aurangabad and the BS6 version of the car will come with a turbo petrol engine as standard.

2022 Skoda Kodiaq local assembly began earleir this month.
Globally, the Skoda Kodiaq facelift received the mid-life facelift in April this year and there's been subtle revisions in its design. For starters, it gets a new multi-slat butterfly grille, slimmer LED headlights, new LED daytime running lights (DRLs), new fog lamps, 20-inch alloys, LED taillights and a new bumper which features a large end-to-end mesh grille. On the inside, the Kodiaq gets a refreshed cabin with a new two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, an updated 9.2-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, along with new massage seats that will be offered as optional. That said, the overall layout and theme of the cabin has remained unchanged and it doesn't looks much different on the inside.

The design updates also make the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq aerodynamically advanced.
As far as powertrain goes, as already mentioned, the India-spec Skoda Kodiaq will be powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI engine, which powers the Superb and Octavia sedans in Skoda India's line-up and a range of other VW group models like the Tiguan, Audi A4 and Audi Q5 among others. The engine is tuned to belt out 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque and will be mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard.
