According to a quick search on the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’ (MoRTH) Vahan portal, the BMW iX was bought in August, with a registration date of August 18, 2022. This is not the first electric vehicle owned by the actor. A few years ago, Genelia also gifted her husband a Tesla Model X, which is in the US.

The BMW iX was launched in India back in December 2021, priced at Rs. 1.16 crore (ex-showroom, India). It was the first electric vehicle to be launched by the Bavarian car maker in India and it comes to the country as a CBU or completely built unit model. In fact, the initial order of iX electric SUVs was sold out within 24 hours, and BMW had said the next booking phase will comment in Q1 2022. So, Riteish’s iX is likely to be part of the 2022 batch.
The BMW iX comes with a 76.6 kWh battery pack, which powers the electric motors to develop a combined output of 240 kW or 322 bhp and a peak torque of 630 Nm.
The BMW iX also features the brand's fifth-generation all-electric powertrain that uses two electric motors, one on each axle, to offer an electric all-wheel-drive (AWD) function. As for the BMW iX xDrive40, the model comes with a 76.6 kWh battery pack, which powers the electric motors to develop a combined output of 240 kW or 322 bhp and a peak torque of 630 Nm. The SUV is claimed to offer a range of 425 km as per the WLTP cycle on a single charge.
