All-Electric Jaguar I-Pace Becomes The First Race eTaxi At Nurburgring

Jaguar Land Rover has announced becoming the first manufacturer to offer an all-electric Race e-Taxi at the legendary Nurburgring circuit, with the Jaguar I-Pace. Like the regular race taxi experience, here too professional drivers will take thrill-seeking passengers around the world's most famous and demanding Formula One race track in the all-wheel-drive zero-emissions Jaguar I-Pace. The company says that with the introduction of the first all-electric Race eTaxi it has taken another step in Jaguar's electrification strategy, offering people a different experience with its award-winning I-Pace electric car.

The all-electric Jaguar I-Pace can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds thanks to its high-tech 90 kWh lithium-ion battery, which develops 294 kW (395 bhp) and 696 Nm of torque. The company says that being an all-wheel-drive, all-electric car, the Jaguar I-Pace is capable of offering superior handling and driving experience in all weathers, around the 20.8 km, 73-corner Nurburgring Circuit. The new experience is available from now until the end of the season in late November.

This is not the first time that we are seeing an electric race car from the British carmaker. The British carmaker has completed its inaugural season of the Jaguar I-PACE eTrophy, the first all-electric single-make competition of its kind, which features a grid of close-to-production I-PACE racers. Furthermore, the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team is right now preparing for the fourth season in Formula E.
