Audi A3 Sedan - Audi's Answer to Hyundai, Toyota and Volkswagen

Audi's soon-to-be the cheapest offering in India - the A3 sedan, is unarguably one of the most awaited vehicles of the year, and rightly so. The A3 will not just open up an entirely new segment - the entry level luxury sedan - but might also eat into the sales of D2 segment cars. However, the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class will take the A3 head on upon its arrival in the country by the end of this year.
We are expecting the A3 to be priced around Rs. 25-28 lakh, which is almost the same as the price range of cars like Volkswagen Passat, Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata.
Since we have driven the car, one thing that we can say is that the car drives really well. So, if a buyer is looking for a sedan that has both, luxury and fun-to-drive elements, the A3 would be a great option.

The Audi A3 sedan will be offered with both, diesel and petrol, engine options in India: the 1.8-litre TFSI petrol and the 2.0-litre TDI diesel mated to a 6-speed S-tronic and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, respectively. Interstitially, these two engines will be as frugal as that of the Passat, Camry and Sonata.
