Audi Q4 e-Tron Electric SUV Launched In USA; Prices Start At $36,400

- The Q4 e-tron will be the most affordable EV that Audi makes
- It is based on the Q3 compact SUV
- It costs $36,400 in the US after incentives
Audi is on a spree of launching its e-Tron line of electric cars around the world. After announcing its flagship e-tron GT electric sedans in India, the German automaker has also launched the Q4 e-tron electric SUV in the US which starts at a rather humble price of $36,400 in the market after getting the benefit of incentives. The Q4 e-tron concept was first seen at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019. The big deal about this car is the fact that it is far cheaper than the e-tron SUV though it is also smaller since it is based on the Q3 platform.

The Q4 e-tron is more or less based on the Audi Q3
Despite being based on the Q3, it leverages the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform which helps it to be affordable and have higher production capacity from a supply chain perspective. The Q4 e-tron is 4,588mm long and is 1,865 mm wide and 1,632 mm tall which makes it about as big as the Q3 by Audi.
It gets two battery pack options - 55 kWh and 82 kWh which there is also DC fast-charge capability of up to 125 kW and it can go from 5-80 percent charge in just 38 minutes. Audi estimates the EPA-certified range in the US could rate the car to have a range of 388 kilometers which is not bad but the single motor model of the vehicle could have an even higher range.
The car costs $36,500 but after federal tax credits of $7,500, it comes to just about $36,400 in the US. Depending on the variant it has a power output of 198 bhp and 291 bhp.
