Bajaj anticipates growth in 3 wheelers sales in Maharashtra

Bajaj Auto is prepared to serve the demand for auto-rickshaws in Maharashtra, which is expected to rise after the state government's announcement to issue 81,450 replacement auto-rickshaw permits, against lapsed permits, across 49 RTOs. The permits are likely to be issued between March and October 2014.

"Bajaj Auto is fully equipped to cater to the fresh demand for auto rickshaws through its existing range of three-wheeler products."
Mr. Rao further said that Bajaj Auto manufactures and sell close to 45-50,000 Autorickshwas every month are capable of meeting any surge in demand.
"We will leverage on this opportunity by offering our products through competitive financing schemes that offer lesser down payments and lower EMIs.", he added.
