Bajaj V15, Made of INS Vikrant's Scrap Metal, Gets New Wine Red Colour

- The Bajaj V15 in the Wine Red colour gets no changes in price
- The V15 uses a 149.5cc single-cylinder engine producing 11.8bhp
- The Bajaj V15's fuel tank is uses metal from the INS Vikrant warship
Bajaj Auto has quietly introduced a new colour scheme for the V15, a commuter motorcycle that gets parts of metal from the dismantled aircraft carrier INS Vikrant. The new Cocktail Wine Red shade has been introduced at the same price of Rs 62,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the V15, making the bike available in three shades; the V15 was launched with two colour schemes - Ebony Black and Pearl White.
The new Cocktail Wine Red colour compliments the bike well and is accompanied by black graphics on the fuel tank and side panels. In terms of mechanicals the Bajaj V15 gets no changes and is powered by the same 149.5cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine tuned to produce 11.8bhp of power at 7500rpm and 13Nm of torque at 5500rpm. The motor comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

In terms of features, it gets a removable cowl for pillion seat, while up front it's a single piece unit. The Bajaj V comes with an18-inch Eurogrip tyre in the front and 16-inch rubber at the rear. Furthermore, the bike will also carry INS Vikrant insignia on the fuel tank.
Bajaj Auto has received an overwhelming response for the V15 and even prompted the bike maker to increase production to 1000 units per day. The motorcycle is produced at the automaker's Pantnagar and Waluj facilties. The company sold over 20,000 units of the V15 in April this year.
A reason for the strong sales has been the Bajaj V15's association with the INS Vikrant, which has brought a patriotic inclination towards the bike for its owners, even urging actor Aamir Khan to purchase one, calling it a 'piece of history'.
