BMW 220i Black Shadow Edition Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 43.50 Lakh

- The new BMW 220i 'Black Shadow' will be a limited edition model

BMW India has launched a new limited edition model of the 2 Series Gran Coupe in India. Christened as BMW 220i 'Black Shadow' edition, the new model will be limited to just 24 units and is priced at Rs. 43.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Also like most special and limited editions that have been launched by BMW India in the recent past, the new 2GC Black Shadow edition can only be bought online via BMW Online Shop. The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe 'Black Shadow' edition will be available in M Sport design trim and only comes in the petrol version.

The BMW 220i 'Black Shadow' edition is an exciting opportunity for our customers to enter the world of joy with style and performance."

As for the car's visual highlights, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe 'Black Shadow' edition is available in two colours - Alpine White (non-metallic) and Black Sapphire (metallic). The upholstery available is Sensatec Oyster and Black and Sensatec Black respectively. The exterior also comes with BMW Individual high-gloss shadow line package, high-gloss black mesh-style M front grille and black exterior mirror caps. The car also gets BMW 'M' Performance rear spoiler, finished in high-gloss black, along with a black chrome tailpipe and 18-inch M Performance Y-Spoke Styling 554 M forged wheels in Jet Black Matt.

As for the cabin, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe 'Black Shadow' edition gets the usual features like - a driver-focused cockpit, large panoramic glass sunroof, Sport Seats with electrical memory function, and 40/20/40 split rear seat backrest. Additionally, the new limited edition model offers a segment-first illuminated trim, and ambient lighting with six dimmable designs creates an atmosphere for every mood. In terms of tech, the car continues to come with the 10.25-inch digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch infotainment system, with BMW Live Cockpit Professional, featuring 3D navigation. The system can be controlled by speaking to the BMW Virtual Assistant or with gesture controls. The car also gets a Parking Assistant with a Rear View Camera, Reversing Assistant, and Smartphone Integration (Apple CarPlay & Android Auto).

The BMW 220i Black Shadow Edition is powered by the 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine
The BMW 220i Black Shadow Edition, as the name suggests, is powered by the 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine. The motor makes 187 bhp and a maximum torque of 280 Nm at 1350-4600 rpm. The engine comes mated to a seven-speed steptronic sport automatic transmission, along with paddle-shifters. The car accelerates from 0 -100 kmph in just 7.1 seconds.
