BMW Motorrad Announces Line-up For EICMA 2016; Hints At New GS Models

- BMW Motorrad will introduce 2 new GS models at EICMA
- One of them could be the all-new G 310 GS entry-level adventure tourer
- EICMA Motorcycle Show is scheduled from 8th to 13th November 2016
BMW Motorrad's official statement reads, "Two more world premieres come from the range of BMW Motorrad models in the Adventure world of experience, making the GS family larger and more versatile."
This certainly has our hopes up. While one of the GS models could be an updated version of the high-performance versions, the other adventure bike could very likely be the G 310 GS. While the company is tight-lipped about the bike, we have already seen the same in recent spy shots.

The BMW G 310 GS shares its underpinnings with the G 310 R street-fighter and will be manufactured in India. The smallest displacement GS series motorcycle will share the same powertrain as the naked version, so expect the 313cc, liquid-cooled, fuel injected, single-cylinder engine, and could be tuned marginally compared to the G 310 R. On the street-fighter, the 313cc motor develops 34bhp of power at 9500rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7500 rpm, while paired to a 6-speed transmission.
In addition to the two Adventure bikes, BMW Motorrad also revealed that it will be introducing new products from Heritage World of Experience. The new offers will expand BMW family's classic yet modern motorcycles and will be powered by the distinctive air-cooled flat-twin boxer engine. With the new offerings, the bike maker's total range will expand to five.
Also on display will be a mechanically and visually modified R nine T. Meanwhile, the fourth world premiere from BMW will be a luxurious touring motorcycle that will boast of a host of fittings that makes travelling on two wheels as comfortable as possible. Complete details will be available at the event, and we will keep you updated on the same. So make sure to stay tuned.
