Car Sales November 2021: Nissan Registers 161 Per Cent Domestic Growth

- Nissan sold 2,651 vehicles in the domestic market in November 2021
- Nissan's exports stood at 2,954 vehicles last month
- The company's wholesale volumes for November 2021 stood at 5,605 units
Nissan India continues to post strong sales numbers month-on-month on the back of its new offering, the Magnite subcompact SUV. The company announced that it sold 2,651 vehicles in the domestic market in November 2021, registering a solid 161 per cent hike in sales. During the same period, Nissan exported 2,954 vehicles from India to other markets. The company's exports registered a 152 per cent year-on-year growth. The Nissan Magnite remains the volumes driver for the automaker within a lineup comprising Nissan and Datsun models. The company's wholesale volumes for November 2021 stood at 5,605 units.

Speaking about the strong sales, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, "Since the launch of the big, bold, and beautiful all-new Nissan Magnite, it has received 73,000 plus bookings, and the customer response for the game changer SUV has been phenomenal with 31 per cent of bookings coming from the digital ecosystem. Our focus is on customer experience by providing the customers the lowest cost of ownership and have also added 18 service stations towards customer assurance."

India is the global production hub for the Nissan Magnite
On a month-on-month basis, Nissan's sales have seen a drop when compared to October 2021. The company's domestic volumes last month stood at 3,913 vehicles owing to the festive season, while its wholesale numbers stood at 6,917 units last month. Exports in November saw a massive jump when compared to just 75 units shipped in October this year. The domestic sales numbers were also lower than September 2021 when the company sold 2,816 vehicles in the domestic market.
Apart from regular sales channels, Nissan has also introduced subscription plans with a buyback option for the Magnite SUV. It promises lowest-in-class maintenance cost at 30 paise/km for 50,000 km, along with a standard warranty of 2 years/50,000 km. Customers can also extend the warranty for up to 5 years/100,000 km at an additional cost.
