Carmakers Kick-Off Nationwide Monsoon Service and Check-Up Camps

- Maruti Suzukis service camp will last till June 30
- Fiat will offer a number of discounts on spare parts and services
- Ford India's region-wise service camp will last till September

The country's leading carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India has been organising these monsoon service camps for a long time now. This time they car calling it the 'Monsoon Fit Checkup Camp' and customers across India can bring vehicles to their city's respective service centres to be checked for 17 critical points under the complimentary check-up. According to the official statement released by the company, the camps will be held starting today 24th June till 30th June 2016 at Maruti Suzuki's 1714 dealer workshops located in 1516 cities across the country.
As for what the customers will get out of this activity is preventive service camp will check essential parts like wiper blades, wiper motor, brake pads and mud flaps etc., along with inspection of key parts and performance of the vehicles. Moreover the company has also said that it will educated and provided with tips to customer on how to avoid hydro locking and aquaplaning.
Chevrolet India

Chevrolet customers from the aforementioned states can visit their nearest dealerships and get their vehicle monsoon-ready. The camp have already started and will take place in three phases region-wise covering whole of India. The first phase took place between 15th and 19th June 2016, covering all southern states of except for Tamil Nadu, where the company will hold the service camp in October. The second phase will cover most of west, central and east region and is being held between 22nd to 26th June. The final phase will take place in between 13th to 17th July.
In the official statement released by the company, Chevrolet India says that the objective of this camp is to spread awareness among car owners to take proper care of their vehicles during the monsoons. Talking about this new initiative Markus Sternberg, Vice President Aftersales Chevrolet India, said, "Chevrolet vehicles are built to the highest safety standards - and we want to ensure our customers and their families continue to enjoy safe motoring."
The company said that it will mainly focus on car services that will ensure safe driving, especially in the monsoon season. Customers will be provided with services like - a special quick free check-up of important parts such as brakes, light bulbs, electrical, battery and tyres. In case the cars require parts change, customers will get special discounts on spare parts and labour charges to support Chevrolet drivers and ensure their customer's vehicles are well maintained and safe to drive. Moreover, the company has even announced that Chevrolet customers visiting their dealership during the Monsoon Camp will get to enjoy other benefits as well.
Fiat India

FIAT Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) India, as mentioned earlier is going pan-India with its pre-monsoon service camp, which will be held from 20th June to 26th June 2016. According to the company's official statement, customers who visit Fiat-authorised service centres will get 10% discount on selected parts, 15% discount on labour (excluding body shop-related work), and a special 20% discount on value added services such as wax coating, anti-rust treatment and upholstery cleaning. Fiat service stations will also offer 50% discount on a full car wash and also avail of free interior cleaning by a FIAT-appointed vendor and a free car check-up.
Speaking about the initiative, Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FIAT Chrysler Automobiles India Operations said, "We continue to work towards providing reliable after-sales service to our customers across India. Our Service Camps serve as a platform for us to engage with our customers to reassure them of our continued service commitment."
Ford India

Like its peers, Ford India has also started its monsoon service camps across India and it is being held between 15th June to 13th September 2016. Currently the service camps in west and few states in southern India have already ended and service camps in Eastern region and cities like Calicut and Hyderabad are being held till 28th June. Northern India will have its Ford service camp next month between 6th and 12th July, 2016. On the other hand service camps for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry will be held between 7th and 13th September, 2016. Apart from basic servicing, customer will get benefits like car check-up and car body wash, Rs. 1000 off on battery, and discount up to 50 per cent on spare parts.
