Citroen C3 Coming To India Next Year

Citroen India is continuing with its plan to bring 1 SUV to the country every year. While this year, it was the C5 Aircross, next year we will see the company compete in the very competitive compact SUV segment with the C3.
Saurabh Vatsa, Citroen Brand Head India, "We will bring the C3 to India next year and that means we will stick to our plan that we announced right at the beginning of bringing in 1 car a year to the country."

The Citroen C3 has been caught testing in the country on numerous occasions.
We've already seen the car being tested in the country and it will continue this year as well. The C3 will be underpinned by the highly-localised Common Modular Platform (CMP). We expect it to come with a small capacity turbocharged petrol engine and given the synergies with FCA, globally thanks to Stellantis, we'll also see some inputs coming in from Jeep India. Many of you might therefore, wonder, whether the smaller Citroen will be built at the Ranjangoan factory, where the Jeep Compass and the Tata Nexon are produced.

The C3 will be built at the company's Tamil Nadu plant
Well, Vatsa answered that question as well. He said, "We will build the C3 at Citroen's factory in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu and a separate line for the SUV will be made." While we do not have much information about the upcoming SUV yet, we can certainly see Citroen advancing towards expanding its dealership network ahead of the launch of the car in the country.
