Classic Bikes Used In Bollywood Movies

Bollywood has lavishly used these expensive two-wheelers (sometimes three-wheelers like that one in Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Sholay). These bikes played a massive role in shaping our childhood dreams and became our dream bikes. Bikes are all about adrenaline, and to portray a romantic element, there's no better way to do it. Bollywood has a memorable love affair with the two-wheeler. Bollywood's fascination with high-end bikes goes a long way back. From the classic motorcycle in Deewana to the sports bike in the Dhoom franchise, we have ended up watching and loving all of them. To celebrate the love between bikes and Bollywood, we have listed five classic and iconic bikes featured in Bollywood movies.
BMW F 750 GS in War
If you have seen the War movie, then there's no chance that you don't remember the high-octane bike chase between Hritik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. Although both the protagonists use different bikes, the bike used by Tiger Shroff is the BMW F 750 GS. Whether on challenging terrain, city roads or race tracks, the BMW F 750 GS is suitable for almost all high-octane driving. People who have an unadulterated passion for adventure can explore this two-wheeler for ultimate satisfaction. The BMW F 750 GS has a blend of modern and classic elements and has a conceptual design. It is a middleweight adventure bike with a low seat height. The BMW F 750 GS has Dynamic Traction Control and LED indicators with a two-cylinder, four-stroke in-line engine. It has 77 hp and 6000 rpm.

Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa in Dhoom
The Dhoom franchise can never be left unmentioned when speaking of bikes and Bollywood movies. The entire franchise of Dhoom consists of three films featuring a lot of superbikes that gained attention. However, the Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa used in Dhoom is worth mentioning here. The Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa was featured in the first movie of the Dhoom trilogy. Soon after the movie's release, this bike became a cult favourite, and even today in India, it is popularly known as the "Dhoom bike". During that time, the Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa was the fastest road bike globally, at 300kmph. Hayabusa was called a road missile. With a 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, the Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa moved along with the wind speed. The Hayabusa has an outstanding torque speed of 154 Nm @ 10200 rpm. The Suzuki Hayabusa is precisely what a bi-wheeler should be and is the ultimate word in motorcycle riding.

BSA WM 500 in Sholay
Sholay is a trendsetter movie, be it showcasing bromance or showing trendy bikes. The scene of Jay and Veru monkeying around in a BSA WM 500 bike with a sidecar and singing "yeh dosti hum nahi todenge" is the best cinematic experience for the audience. This vintage bike has evolved over the years and earned an iconic status in India. The BSA WM 500 has a four-stroke single-cylinder engine with a side valve. The maximum power of this bullet is 13 hp at 4200 rpm. The BSA WM 500 weighs around 126 kg, and the top speed is 50mph. It is not literally the fastest bike, but the sidecar feature attracted the audience to it. The simple and rugged design of the BSA WM 500 is best suited for heavy-duty military use.

Yahama RT 180 in Deewana
The scene from the movie Deewana where Shah Rukh Khan gets on the wheels of the Yamaha RT 180 while singing "Koi na koi chahiye pyar karne ke liye" is forever etched in our hearts. The Yamaha RT 180 was launched in the early nineties as a dirt bike for young riders entering the world of off-road driving. This mediocre bike has one cylinder with a two-stroke single-engine and 22.5 horsepower. The top speed of the Yahama RT 180 is 60mph. The handlebar is simple, with only the hand brake assemblies mounted. This dirt bike created a craze among the audience and was in high demand. It is ideal for driving on gravel tracks or roads.

Harley Davidson V-Rod in Roy
It comes to mind whenever anyone speaks of the movie Roy, with Ranbir Kapoor, riding the Harley Davidson V-Rod in the song "Tu hai ki nahi". For all bike lovers, Harley-Davidson is a leading choice. It won't be wrong to say that it's not a bike but is an emotion. Harley Davidson's V-Rod, featured in the Roy movie, is a cruiser weighing approximately 289 kg. The V-Rod stands out from other Harley-Davidson motorcycles and is unquestionably the best-looking Harley-Davidson model. The engine is 1250cc and can produce 125 horsepower, one of the highest produced horsepower. The V-Rod's tyres are made up of rubber compounds using the latest generation of Michelin synthetic polymers, ensuring better grip performance and durability. It has four valves per cylinder and dual overhead cams that generate 113 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The design of the Harley Davidson V-Rod is inspired by the design of sports cars and has split 5-spoke wheels and a flashy heavy-weight attitude. The fuel tank is placed underneath the seat.

When these movies, as mentioned above, were released, the bikes featured in them gained a symbolic status and were loved by everyone. Bikes have been used in many Bollywood movies. There is an umbilical link between Bollywood and bikes. These are the dream bikes of any die-hard rider for the current generation.
