Dangal Star Sakshi Tanwar Buys Volvo S90 Sedan

- The Volvo S90 rivals Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series, & Audi A6
- Volvo only offers one variant of the car with a 2.0 litre diesel engine
- The S90 is based on the SPA platform, shared with the XC90 SUV
In times when most celebrities lean towards German brands when it comes to buying a luxury car, actor Sakshi Tanwar has chosen the Swedish beauty Volvo S90 as her luxury ride. The popular actor of the movie Dangal fame, recently took the delivery of her all-new Volvo S90 sedan, and the company immediately took to social media to announce its newest celebrity customer. The S90 is Volvo's flagship sedan and compete with popular German premium executive sedans like - Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series.
Now, as we have told you in our previous reports and review that the new Volvo S90 replaces the carmaker's previous flagship sedan S80. And in that sense, the new S90 is a capable sedan in every possible way. Unlike its German rivals, the Volvo S90 comes in only one variant equipped with the best of comfort and convenience features that the company has to offer. It's built on the same SPA platform, which also underpins Volvo's flagship SUV XC90, so the sedan comes with the same smooth flowing design with subtle character lines and smart exteriors features. In fact, the Volvo S90 won the design of the year award at the NDTV Car and Bike Awards 2017.

The cabin, on the other hand, offers a host of features like - Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system with 19 speakers, sunroof, a 12.3 inches digital instrument cluster with a 9 inch touch screen, heads-up display with navigation and Apple CarPlay, 3 driving modes - Eco, Comfort & Dynamic with independent air suspension for the rear wheels, and power operated tailgate with foot scanner.
Under the hood, the Volvo S90 comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel mill in the single D4 trim and churns out 190bhp and 400Nm of torque. The motor is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. While it might not be the most powerful in its segment, the motor is equipped enough to handle all that is thrown at it.
