Inside, the biggest change is the new 11.2-inch touchscreen, which Volvo claims offers improved pixel density along with featuring a new-gen Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm, allowing for faster graphics and improved responsiveness. The cabin also features new trim inserts, while the audio system is also updated. The XC60 also gets the option for air suspension in global markets. Expect most of these new features to be offered on the India spec model alongside the features already offered on the current model.

On the powertrain front, expect the XC60 to continue to be offered with a 48V mild-hybrid 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Expect power figures to be identical to the current model, which develops 247 bhp and 360 Nm of peak torque and will be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard. The SUV is also expected to continue to be offered with all-wheel drive as standard.
The updated XC60 will go up against the likes of the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC.
