Stellantis owned Dodge is all set to unveil a hybrid car which will probably happen in 2022. This is as per the short term plan unveiled by Carlos Tavares, the CEO of Stellantis. This will be the first Dodge branded plugin hybrid vehicle which could be either be the Durango or something completely different. There is even chatter about a 2023 Dodge Hornet which could also be an EV. This vehicle is said to be similar to the Jeep Compass in size which is also another vehicle from one of the Stellantis stables. This vehicle is supposedly going to be based on the Alfa Romeo Tonale which will be built in the Naples facility.

Dodge has also announced its first EV which will launch in 2024

Internally, this vehicle is being called the GG or 5920 which could be a replacement for the Dodge Journey. InsideEVs is reporting a hybrid power plant that includes a 266 bhp coupled with a 132 bhp electric motor powered by a 17 kWh battery. 

Production of this vehicle is said to start sometime in 2022 and there are even FCA trademarks for the Dodge Hornet which means this is likely the moniker for the vehicle. Recently, Stellantis announced a massive investment in the EV space which will likely flow in on this car as well.
