Ducati To Introduce Four All-New Motorcycles In India

- Ducati Multistrada 1260, Scrambler 1100 to be launched
- Ducati 959 Panigale Corse also expected to be launched
- Ducati India now has presence in seven Indian cities
Ducati India is planning to introduce four all-new models this year. The four new motorcycles are expected to include the Ducati Multistrada 1260 as well as the Ducati Scrambler 1100. There's no clarity on what the other two all-new models will be, but one of them is likely to be the Ducati Monster 821 which was discontinued in 2017, because it didn't meet the Bharat Stage IV (BS-IV) emission norms. In a statement marking the third anniversary of the Italian brand in India, Ducati India has announced that four all-new motorcycles will be launched in 2018.

The Ducati Multistrada 1260 will be launched in the next couple of months
We also expect Ducati to launch the 959 Panigale Corse, which gets a special racing colour scheme, fully adjustable Ohlins suspension, as well as a new Akrapovic full exhaust system. The weight of the 959 Panigale Corse is reduced by 2.26 kg, although the powertrain remains the same, with the 955 cc L-twin engine putting out 150 bhp at 10,500 rpm and 102 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. The new Ducati Scrambler 1100 will be the most powerful in the Scrambler series with a 1,079 cc, L-twin engine that makes 85 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 88 Nm of peak torque at 4,750 rpm. The Scrambler 1100 gets a slipper clutch as well as ABS and traction control, and comes equipped with ride-by-wire throttle with various riding modes.
Ducati India has completed three years of the Italian brand's operations in India. Ducati began its India journey in March 2015 with its first dealership in the Delhi-NCR region, and expanded the sales and service network to all major metros in India. During the first three years, Ducati has cultivated and developed a strong community of Ducatisti across India, and now caters to customers across all geographies in the market through its dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi and Kolkata.
"The Indian market has huge potential and the demand for premium motorcycles along with just as premium engagement has been truly encouraging over the past few years. We are excited to have completed three years in the country and have witnessed unmatched enthusiasm and biking passion amongst Indian riders." said Sergi Canovas, MD of Ducati India. "Ducati offers a premium, sophisticated and true Italian experience, and our rapid expansion in the country has ensured that our customers get a consistent taste of the same. We have some very exciting in store promotions, special offers on finance and interesting contests planned across our social media channels throughout the next few months to celebrate this special occasion along with the riding community here in India." he added.
This year, Ducati has also launched the Ever Red programme, a two-year extended warranty programme and Ducati Financial Services offering 0 per cent rate of interest on select models. Ducati is expected to roll out several rider training programmes and engagement for the Ducatisti, under the Ducati Riding Experience (DRE) programme. In India, Ducati does not share sales figures with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), so it's difficult to ascertain how many bikes Ducati has sold in India since 2015. Globally, Ducati sold over 55,000 motorcycles in 2017, and the US is still the number one market with nearly 9,000 motorcycles sold in the same year.
