Electric Cars That Were Launched In 2022

- Carmakers are focusing on the EV market
- Consumers are looking for efficient and cost-friendly vehicles
- Many electric cars are set to hit Indian roads in 2022
Not surprisingly, manufacturers are trying to come up with more EVs to tap into the growing market and speed up the shift to electric cars. If you are looking for an affordable electric car, too, here are some options.

Tata Tiago EV
The Tiago EV was showcased along with Tigor EV at the Auto Expo event in 2018. This model is expected to be launched in mid-2022. The car looks similar to the ICE variant barring the blue accent on the alloys, interior, and grills. The vehicle offers equal power as the Tigor EV but might cost less.
Tata would probably launch the car with a 26 kWh battery, 74 bhp power, and 170 Nm torque. You could probably go up to 310 km with a single charge.
Tata Altroz EV
The Altroz EV was showcased at the 2019 Geneva motor show. The car has a similar design to the regular ICE Altroz, with the addition of blue accents on the interior and exterior with different alloys. The vehicle is based on the ALFA platform, which is electrified. The Altroz EV has many similar features to the Nexon EV, but has a different output for power, with a range of 300 km on a single charge.
Mahindra eKUV 100
The car was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and is similar to the KUV 100, which is ICE-powered. It has a few changes in the exterior and can give a range of 250 km on one charge. The eKUV would compete with the Tigor EV and Tiago EV.

MG ZS EV
After the Tata Nexon EV, MG has the bestselling electric car in India in the form of the ZS EV. The carmaker recently showcased the facelift, which is priced a little high. However, MG is working on another EV that would cost less. It will use a smaller battery with a lesser powerful motor. The car is expected to debut in 2022.
Hyundai Kona EV Facelift
The facelifted Kona EV is expected to be launched in India in 2022. There will be another EV that will be launched but with a lesser price tag. The car would be manufactured in Chennai and exported to the international markets.
