F1: Red Bull Racing Reveals RB14 Formula 1 Car For 2018

Red Bull Racing is the latest Formula 1 team to unveil its new car for the 2018 season. Dubbed as the RB14, the new F1 car will have Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen back in the seat for the latest season. The new RB14 gets a host of changes to its design to meet the regulations, most prominent of which is the addition of the new Halo cockpit safety device. The 2018 Red Bull car gets covered in special edition livery finished in striking blue camouflage style instead of the red and dark blue colour schemes seen previously. The actual paint job though will only be revealed during the pre-season testing Catalunya.

(Daniel Ricciardo took the Red Bull Racing RB14 out on Silverstone for filming)
With respect to changes, the RB14 now sports prominent Aston Martin branding across the car and the rear wing. The British car maker is the new title sponsor for the Red Bull team in 2018, increasing its level of involvement in the sport. The shark fin has also been removed along with the T-wing, which have been outlawed as per the new regulations. The new Halo device has also added to the minimum weight of the car, which in turn, will add to a higher centre of gravity. A change, which will be common on all 2018 F1 cars.

(The final livery on the Red Bull Racing RB14 will be revealed at Catalunya)
The 2018 Aston Martin Red Bull Racing's RB14 will be drawing power from a Renault sourced V6 turbo hybrid engine. This season, however, could be the last year for Red Bull to use a Renault engine, as the French manufacturer will reportedly pull out of the partnership by the end of this season.

(2018 is probably the last season for Red Bull Racing with the Renault power unit)
Red Bull is the third team after Haas and Williams to show its 2018 F1 car, and the first to take it out on track for filming at Silverstone. In fact, Daniel Ricciardo set in the early wet laps at the British circuit. While we still do not get to see the actual livery for 2018 on the RB14, the shape and form will very much remain as we see here. The 2018 season is about a month away and teams are gearing up to utilise the upcoming testing period to get maximum data to work with.
