Ford Launches First Vehicle Personalisation Centre in India

Purchasing a car is a journey that is usually exciting; the one where tedious formalities don't bother you much, because it is nothing compared to the excitement one feels. The excitement of driving it home; the joy of making it your own. Well, the joy of making it your own is now set to become fun too for Ford has now launched a Vehicle Personalisation Centre in India.
The first car maker to launch such a centre here, this facility will now allow new Ford EcoSport buyers to customise their SUV. The centre will offer a host of superior quality, premium vehicle personalisation options and will be equipped with 19 ergonomically designed modification bays operated by Ford's trained technicians.
Located in the vicinity of Ford India's Chennai factory, the Vehicle Personalisation Centre is spread over 35,000 square feet. The center was inaugurated by John Cooper, vice president, Customer Service Division, Ford Asia Pacific and Nigel Harris, president, Ford India.
Fact: The Ford Vehicle Personalisation Centre in Chennai is the first such Ford-operated unit in Asia Pacific region.
"Customers today view vehicles as an extension of their own personalities and are keen to customize their cars to stand out from the clutter. Our customers today are socially conscious who don't compromise and want things done their way. They desire for enhanced levels of personalisation to make vehicles look distinctly theirs," said Cooper. "Adding to the overall brand ownership experience, we will provide customers peace of mind through premium quality customization options that they can trust without compromising on safety, quality or vehicle warranties."
The Vehicle Personalisation Centre will offer the following 3 customisation options on the Ford EcoSport initially:
a. Spare Wheel (Cover) Pack for all EcoSport variants
b. Alloys Pack - will include alloys and rear-spoiler for EcoSport's Ambiente and Trend trims
c. Sports Pack - will include rear-spoiler, LED scuff plate, roof cross-bar for EcoSport's Titanium and Titanium (O) trims
Ford plans to expand the personalisation centre's offering offerings later this year.
In order to get one of the aforementioned packs, customers only have to place an order with the dealer at the time of booking the Ford EcoSport.
