Former Australian Cricketer Shane Warne Injured In Motorcycle Accident; No Serious Injury

- The accident occured when Shane Warne was out riding with his son Jackson
- Warne fell off his bike and slid on the tarmac for more than 15 meters
- The cricketer told media he's "a bit battered and bruised and very sore"
Former Australian Cricketer Shane Warne recently met with a motorcycle accident in Melbourne. The legendary spinner was out riding his motorcycle with his son Jackson earlier this Sunday, on November 28, when he fell off his bike and slid on the tarmac for more than 15 meters. While the circumstances of the accident are still a bit unclear, Warne suffered no serious injuries. Reportedly, Warne was riding a heavy 300 kg motorcycle (possibly his Harley-Davidson) and the accident occurred while they were returning the bikes to storage.

While the circumstances of the accident are still a bit unclear, Warne suffered no serious injuries
While Shane Warne did not immediately seek any medical assistance, after waking up with severe pain on Monday morning, the 52-year-old went to the hospital fearing he might have broken his foot or damaged his hip. Warne told Australian media he was "a bit battered and bruised and very sore". However, the former Australia spinner is still expected to do the broadcasting duties for the upcoming Ashes, beginning December 8 at the Gabba.
Both Warne and his son Jackson are avid motorcycle riders, and it was only earlier this year the father-son duo acquired their motorcycle license, according to a post on the Cricketer's social media account.

In 2007, Shane Warne retired from international cricket after Australia's 5-0 Ashes series victory over England. He was inducted into ICC Cricket Hall of Fame and the Cricket Hall of Fame by Cricket Australia in 2013 and 2012, respectively for his outstanding performance. He remains the world's second bowler, after Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan, who took more than 1000 international wickets, one day and test matches combined.
Now the main reason why Warne escaped from this accident was possibly because he was geared-up and was wearing a helmet. So, we would urge you to always wear your helmet while riding a two-wheeler.
