Hero's 250cc HX250R Might Come By Mid 2015

If there is one bike segment that has grown tremendously in last 2-3 years is the entry level sports bike. We have seen some really capable products like Kawasaki Z250, KTM Duke 200/RC 200, Honda CBR250, Bajaj Pulsar 220 launched in our market, and all of these are doing good business for their respective makers. Seeing the growing popularity of this segment, Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest two wheeler maker, is now planning to launch a 250cc bike. To be called the Hero HX250R, the bike was unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.
The company will develop this bike with the help of Erik Buell Racing (EBR). Upon its unveiling, the company had claimed that the bike will be able to do 0-100kmph in less than 8 seconds with a top-speed of 160Km/h.
