Honda To Debut New BigWing Motorcycle On August 8

Honda Motorcycles India is set to launch a new motorcycle in India under its BigWing line-up. The manufacturer has shared little by ways of what the new model could be aside from saying “Get ready to experience new Design, Advancements and Performance from Honda’s BigWing.” The company has only revealed that it has planned something for August 8 with the ‘Block Your Date’ invite just calling the new model as ‘The Formidable’.
The new model from BigWing is expected to be an all-new motorcycle and is likely to sit in the midsize segment. Honda is tight-lipped about the new product, but it is likely that it will not be a motorcycle based on the existing Honda H’Ness CB 350 platform. According to sources, the new Honda two-wheeler will be a premium product within the 350-500 cc segment, and it could well be the Honda Forza 350 maxi scooter.
The international spec Honda Forza 350 maxi scooter sports a 330 cc liquid cooled single-cylinder engine, which puts out 28.8 bhp at 7,500 rpm, and 31.5 Nm torque from 5,250 rpm. The scooter has a host of premium features, like traction control, dual channel ABS, electronically adjustable windscreen, and much more. The Honda Forza 350 was unveiled last year, and it commands a premium price tag internationally, with pricing in the UK being upwards of GBP 5,699 (Around Rs. 5.45 lakh).
Honda’s BigWing Chain typically caters to the company’s more upmarket models with the Big Wing line-up starting from the roadster-styled H’Ness CB 350 and CB 300X and going up to the company’s GoldWing cruiser, the CRF1000L Africa Twin and the Fireblade sportbike.
Expect more details on the new motorcycle to surface in the coming weeks.
