Hyundai Alcazar SUV Launched In India, Prices Start At Rs. 16.30 Lakh

After a long wait, Hyundai India has finally launched the new Alcazar three-row SUV in the country. The 2021 Hyundai Alcazar range starts from Rs. 16.3 lakh, going up to Rs. 20 lakh. All prices, ex-showroom India. The SUV is offered in three major trims - Prestige, Premium and Signature - each of which come with an optional automatic transmission. The new offering shares its underpinnings with the Hyundai Creta but gets significant updates over the latter to better differentiate the same as a premium model. The all-new Alcazar will be competing against the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV700. There are a total of 12 variants to choose from on the new SUV.

The new Alcazar will be offered as both, a 6- and 7-seater SUV with a host of smart creature comforts
With respect to dimensions, the Hyundai Alcazar measures 4500 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, and 1675 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2760 mm. Compared to the Hyundai Creta, the Alcazar is 200 mm longer and 40 mm taller, while the wheelbase has been stretched by 150 mm. The width remains the same.
Engine options on the new Hyundai Alcazar will include both petrol and diesel options. The 2.0-litre petrol unit churns out 157 bhp and 191 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel belts out 113 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. Both engines will be offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Hyundai claims a fuel efficiency figure of 14.5 kmpl on the petrol manual version, and 14.2 kmpl on the petrol automatic. The diesel model, on the other hand, claims a fuel efficiency of 20.4 kmpl while the automatic version returns 18.1 kmpl.

Hyundai Alcazar gets an updated rear section with new LED taillights that look much nicer and twin-tipped exhaust.
With respect to features, the Hyundai Alcazar is loaded. The SUV gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, blind view monitor, Bose premium sound system and 64 colours ambient lighting. The three row offering will be offered with either six or seven seats, and will also come with voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, multi-drive mode - Comfort, Eco, Sport, traction control modes - Snow, Sand, Mud, and a larger instrument cluster.
The Hyundai Alcazar will also get a tip and tumble function for second-row seats, a front-row setback table and an air purifier with an AQI display. Wireless charging for the second row will be optional.
