Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell Car Sets New Land Speed Record

The car set a new a land speed record for a production hydrogen-powered crossover. The record breaking attempt was conducted at the Soggy Dry Lake Bed in California as the car hit a top speed of 152.2 km/h, reinforcing our belief in fuel cell cars.
Hyundai didn't say much about the record but clearly this is no ordinary feat. the Tucson Fuel Cell has a fuel cell stack that converts hydrogen into electricity to power an electric motor. The car is probably the greenest car in world as it can do 426 km on a single tank of hydrogen and all those kilometers produce zero emissions.
The Tucson Fuel Cell went on sale in the US in 2014 and was initially offered to customers in the Los Angeles/Orange County region for 36-month term at $499 per month, with $2,999 down payment, under Hyundai's leasing program. Clearly that is no small amount but still there are people who have taken to this clean energy and according to Hyundai have already clocked more than 13 lakh kilometres of zero emission driving.

For the price the customers have been given unlimited free hydrogen refueling under Hyundai Assurance Program. Moreover, Tucson Fuel Cell owners will avail Hyundai "At Your Service" assistance program at no further cost.
Hyundai's Tucson fuel cell then proves its worth and now this clean energy car has a record to its name which will make things easier for the Korean manufacturer to tell people that clean energy need not be slow.
