IIT-Delhi Based Start-Up Teases Its First Electric Sports Bike; Launch This Year

- Trouve Motor claims its electric two-wheeler has a top speed of 200 kmph.

- Launch of the new electric motorcycle is slated for later this year.
Trouve Motor, an IIT-Delhi incubated start-up, has teased its latest electric hyper-sports superbike, with a top speed of 200 kmph and an acceleration capability of 0-100 kmph in just 3 seconds. Trouve Motor will officially launch its first bike and start pre-bookings at beginning of the second half of 2022, the company said in a statement. Deliveries could possibly start by early 2023. Now, Trouve claims that the new electric hyper-sports superbike will be one of the safest two-wheelers in the world. Moreover, the start-up has five more models in the works, including classic, cafe racer, naked street bike, enduro, and scrambler models, the company has announced. These upcoming bikes are being designed and developed from scratch at Trouve's R&D centre in IIT Delhi and its facility at Bengaluru.

The company will reveal more details of the electric superbike closer to its launch. Trouve also says that the new electric two-wheeler will be built on a modular platform, which will also underpin the other electric two-wheelers from the company. The company will also roll out an advanced hyper-sports bike, designed to reach a speed of over 200 kmph with a range of around 350-500 km.
