KTM RC 125 ABS Launched In India; Priced At Rs. 1.47 Lakh

- The KTM RC 125 ABS uses the same engine as the KTM 125 Duke
- Its design is inspired by the KTM RC16 Moto GP race bike
- It goes up against the likes of the Yamaha YZF R15 V3
KTM has finally launched the much-awaited KTM RC 125 in India at Rs. 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The design has been inspired by the KTM RC16, which is the company's MotoGP machine. The RC 125 is a fully faired motorcycle which gets the company's steel trellis frame, upside down forks by WP and a triple clamp handlebar as well. It uses the same 124 cc single-cylinder engine which makes 14.3 bhp of max power and 12 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Braking performance comes from a 300 mm disc up at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear. Like the KTM 125 Duke, the RC 125 too gets a Bosch single-channel ABS and rear-lift mitigation (RLM) as standard.

Sumeet Narang, Vice President (Probiking) at Bajaj Auto Ltd. said "KTM motorcycles are built to a purpose of winning performance and handling. It is no different with the RC 125 which will provide a true KTM experience to the motorcycle enthusiast seeking to enter our Supersport world. It carries Moto GP genes from its sibling, the much celebrated RC16."
Its other features include twin projector headlamps with daytime running lamps and a digital instrument console. It has a ground clearance of 157 mm and has a weight of 154.2 kg. The design is similar to its elder sibling, the KTM RC 390 and the motorcycle gets a sexy, edgy look which will sit well with the target audience. The KTM RC 125 is about Rs. 17,000 more expensive than the KTM 125 Duke, but is substantially cheaper than the RC 200. At the price point, the RC 125 will take on the Yamaha R15 V3.0.
