Key Highlights
  • 2024 KTM 125, 250, and 390 Duke models recalled
  • Issue is in fuel tank cap
  • Affected bikes to be repaired free of cost

KTM has announced a global recall for the 125 Duke, 250 Duke, 390 Duke and 990 Duke, all from the 2024 model year. The company says certain fuel tank cap seals on these bikes may not meet its quality standards.

During internal testing, KTM found that some seals could develop small cracks due to material inconsistencies. This may result in fuel leaking from the tank cap area. As part of the recall, the affected fuel tank cap seals will be replaced free of cost, and the fix will be carried out only at authorised KTM dealerships.

Customers who already own one of the affected motorcycles are being notified by mail and advised to contact their nearest authorised KTM dealer to schedule the replacement. Owners can also check if their bike is included in the recall by visiting KTM’s official website.

The issue is limited to 2024 units of the 125 Duke, 250 Duke, 390 Duke and 990 Duke. While the 990 Duke was not sold in India, we suggest owners of other 2024 models in the country to reach out to their nearest service centres for confirmation.
