The Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo went on sale about seven years ago for the first time and now the company has introduced an extensively updated version. The new Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 is essentially an upgrade to the track-only EVO version that was powered by a V10 engine and was unveiled about three years ago. So the new Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, the latest creation from Lamborghini's motorsport division and it will race in the Trofeo championship beginning with the 2022 season.

The supercar maker has given special attention to fine-tuning the aerodynamics and making the body even sleeker than it already was. It also gets slimmer LED lights at the front and is complemented with the brand's hexagonal design theme. The front spoiler lip merges with the carbon fiber fins to bridge a visual connection with the Super Trofeo Omologata. Then, there are new air curtain intakes optimise airflow even more than before, just like the carbon fibre rear wing. However, a detailed look closer at the frame surrounding the taillights also reveals a bit of Countach inspiration to the design.

Lamborghini Squadra Corse has also made changes to the body panels. So, plastic materials have been replaced with carbon fibre for the side member panelling and the rear appendages. The rear fenders are made up of a single element that includes a section of the side spoiler. At the front, it gets a size bigger steel disc brakes measuring at 390 mm. There are around 10 mm bigger than the ones seen on the Huracan EVO. The calipers have also been modified and boast pads with a larger surface area, ensuring better braking performance.

The Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2 continues with the same 5.2-litre, naturally-aspirated V10 engine.
Coming to the powertrain now, it gets the 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 motor that churns out 604 bhp to the rear wheels and is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. Lamborghini has built more than 400 units of the previous Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO and Squadra Corse believes the EVO2's will take the numbers ahead, exceeding 500 units. Lamborghini will also offer conversion kits to previous Huracan Super Trofeo EVO owners, so even they can upgrade their cars.
