Mclaren Teases New Model Ahead Of Goodwood Festival Debut

- The new model could be the new 600LT
- The 600LT will take on the Huracan Performante, 488 Pista and 911 GT3
- It will debut at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed
McLaren has confirmed the arrival of a new model as the company prepares for an online launch on June 28. Moreover, the British carmaker also announced that the debut will take place at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. The unknown new model from McLaren is the fifth new model to be announced under the McLaren Track22 business plan and will most likely be a more powerful version of 570S. We think, it is the new McLaren 600LT that was recently spotted testing and if reports are true and this is the McLaren 600LT, then Lamborghini Huracan Performante, Ferrari 488 Pista and the Porsche 911 GT3/GT3 RS are about to get some serious competition.

The new car, which will be driven up the famous Goodwood Hill Climb for the first time on July 12, will be the fifth model to be announced under McLaren's Track22 business plan and will benefit from increased power, minimized weight, optimized aerodynamics and enhanced driver engagement. The new model will also deliver track-focused dynamics and like the McLaren Senna, the most recent model revealed by the Woking-based company, it will be limited to the few.
Announced in 2016, McLaren's Track22 business plan will see the company invest £1billion in research and development to deliver 15 new cars or derivatives by the end of 2022, of which at least half will be hybrids. The year 2017 saw the company launch further models in line with Track22 including the second-generation Super Series, the 570S Spider and the McLaren Senna.
