In just a few days after announcing the global unveil date of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class, the Stuttgart-based carmaker has now released a new teaser video for the car. Apart from giving us a glimpse of the new design and styling of the 2019 A-Class, the video teaser also reveals the new multimedia system - MBUX - Mercedes-Benz User Experience. The MBUX infotainment system comes with a unique ability to learn and respond to the user thanks to artificial intelligence, essentially your in-car personal assistant.

Mercedes-Benz first revealed the MBUX at the Consumer Electronic Show 2018 (CES 2018), announcing that it will enter series production in 2018 in the new A-Class. The system can be individualised and adapts to suit the user and thus creates a connection between the vehicle, driver and passengers, and at the same time, updates "over the air" are possible. The system includes the high-resolution Widescreen Cockpit with touchscreen operation, navigation display with augmented reality technology plus intelligent voice control with natural speech recognition, which, as we mentioned earlier, is activated with the keyword "Hey Mercedes".

The teaser video also gives us a glimpse of the new grille, the new matte black alloys, rear spoiler, and the new LED headlamps and LED taillamps. The cabin, on the other hand, will come with ambient lighting, illuminated air-con vents, and a new steering wheel with touch control buttons like the ones on the E-Class. The video also reveals that the car shown here is the fully loaded Edition 1 version of the new A-Class, which will likely be offered only for the initial 12 months.
The new-gen Mercedes-Benz A-Class is based on the new MFA 2 platform and employs light-weight aluminium construction for lighter kerb weight and higher rigidity. Under the hood, the new A-Class is expected to get the new turbocharged 1.3-liter petrol engine developed by Renault and Mercedes, which is available in three power configurations - 157 bhp, 138 bhp and 113 bhp. Along with it, the car could also feature a new 1.6-litre or a 2-litre petrol engine, and a 2-litre or a 1.5-litre diesel motor. All the engines will get a 9-Speed DCT gearbox, with reports of a 6-Speed manual transmission as well.
