Mercedes-Maybach S600 to be Launched in India on September 25

Mercedes-Benz India will bring in its Maybach sub-brand with the launch of the Mercedes-Maybach S600 on September 25, 2015. The Mercedes-Maybach made its its global debut last year, with pre-orders for the car being initiated in December, 2014. Deliveries for the car, however, began only in February, 2015.

While the German carmaker assembles the S-Class in India, the Mercedes-Maybach S600 will arrive in the country via CBU.

The Mercedes-Maybach S600 is slightly bigger than the regular S-Class; it gets a 200mm longer wheelbase, to be precise. The sedan will get a myriad of features, including adjustable seat backs, massaging seats, fine-leather upholstery, a chilled rear center armrest, hand-crafted champagne flutes, and Burmester 3D audio among several others. The rear executive seating package will be offered as standard.

It will come powered by a 6.0-litre V12 bi-turbo motor that develops 523bhp along with an impressive 830Nm of maximum torque. It will come mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission, and gets a top-speed of 249Km/h.

Interestingly, the carmaker claims the Mercedes-Maybach S600 is the "world's quietest car". despite those performance numbers.
