MG Astor To Come With Apple CarPlay & Android Auto As Standard

- The upcoming MG Astor will get a 10.1-inch infotainment screen
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be standard across variants
- The Astor will also get level 2 autonomous driving technology
MG Motor India has announced that its upcoming compact SUV, the Astor will launch with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, something which was missing in its iSmart interface a couple of years ago when the Hector was launched. MG has added CarPlay and Android Auto to Hector most recently but on the Astor, it is standard on all variants. Apart from this, MG Motors also reveals that the Astor will launch with JioSaavn and MapMyIndia's navigation. This is an add on to the presence of Gaana.com which has been there on the iSmart interface. This is a build-up from the presence of the Reliance Jio SIM which enables the connected car features.

The 10.1-inch infotainment screen will get access to CarPlay and Android Auto
The Astor is notable as it will become the first car in the segment to come with level 2 autonomous technology with advanced ADAS features. It also comes with a customised AI assistant which understands natural language and supports up to 35 Hinglish voice commands. The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interface lights up on the 10.1-inch infotainment screen. The same holds true for the JioSaavn.
There are several services which come on the Astor - some of the other notable ones include the KoineArth blockchain protected vehicle digital passport. It also comes embedded with Park+ in select cities which is a parking reservation system.
