New Hyundai Venue Detailed Specifications And Engine Options Officially Revealed

The new second-generation Hyundai Venue is all set to go on sale in India on November 4, 2025. The subcompact SUV is getting a major makeover, and now the carmaker has confirmed the detailed technical specifications and engine options for the new Venue. Some notable highlights for us are that the Hyundai Venue will now also feature traction control modes, and a diesel automatic option will also be available. Earlier, we also reported that the new Venue will offer Level 2 ADAS, an upgrade from the earlier Level 1 system.

The Hyundai Venue will now also feature traction control modes
In terms of engine options, the 2026 Hyundai Venue will continue to feature the same three powertrain choices as before. There’s the frugal 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 82 bhp and 115 Nm of torque, and it comes with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. This engine will be limited to only some of the lower variants.

The new Venue now gets a diesel automatic option as well
Then you have the fun-to-drive 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor, which makes 118 bhp and 172 Nm of peak torque. Here, you get the option for a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). Finally, you also have the option for the 1.5-litre diesel motor. This makes 114 bhp and a meaty 250 Nm of torque. While earlier, this only came with a 6-speed manual gearbox, now Hyundai is offering the option for a 6-speed automatic torque converter unit.

As for other electronic aids on offer, in addition to the drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport), the new Venue will now come with traction modes as well. In addition to the default road mode, you have Sand, Mud and Snow. And yes, both automatic models will also come with paddle shifters.
The Hyundai Venue will also come with a new variant nomenclature with 'HX’ prefix

The new Hyundai Venue comes with massive design and styling updates, borrowing new styling cues from the bigger Hyundai SUVs. The cabin also gets an all-new look with a cleaner and more premium look. Hyundai is also changing the variant nomenclature with the new Venue. It has adopted a new alphanumeric naming structure bearing the ‘HX’ prefix, with HX denoting ‘Hyundai Experience’. In total, there will be seven petrol trims (HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX6T, HX8, HX10) and four diesel trims (HX2, HX5, HX7, HX10).
