New Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza Interior Leaked In New Images

- New-gen Vitara Brezza to pack in a heads -up display and sunroof
- New dashboard features a layered design with a prominent colour insert
- Gets a new free-standing touchscreen and some shared switchgear
It was late last year when we first got a glimpse at the upcoming new Vitara Brezza through leaked images. Now with the launch nearing new images of the SUV have continued to surface first detailing the SUV's exterior and now the interior as well. Seen from the exterior, it has become apparent Maruti Suzuki has followed the same basic design of the outgoing model with the boxy and upright looks though a closer look reveals that almost all the body panels are new. The glasshouse has changed, the bonnet, bumpers and light clusters are new, and the tailgate too is new.

While early spy shots had revealed parts of the dashboard design these latest images give a much clearer view of all the changes and the new equipment that is on offer. Starting with the dashboard, you are likely to find little in common between the upcoming Brezza and the outgoing model. Maruti has replaced the rather simplistic designed dash of the outgoing model with a new layered unit with a prominent coloured insert running along the centre. The touchscreen is now larger (the Brezza will get the new SmartPro system on top variants) and is a free-standing unit sitting atop the centre console with the air-con vents positioned just below.

New Brezza (top) gets a new layered dashboard design compared to the staid upright unit in the current model.
The steering too is new and shared with other newer Maruti models while the older Brezza's squared-off dials have been replaced by more rounded units. Initial images suggest that the dials miss out on the colour-based backlighting of the outgoing model. The air-con controls too are new but look to be straight from the Maruti's shared parts bin – the new Baleno gets similar switches. Another noticeable shared element with the new Baleno is the heads-up display sitting behind the instrument cluster within the driver's eyeline.

New Vitara Brezza to get revised instrument panel with revised dials and a new heads-up display.
Moving to the visible features, the new Vitara Brezza in this top variant also packs in auto climate control, a sunroof, cruise control, paddle shifters for the automatic models and rear air-con vents (a feature that was missing on the current Vitara Brezza).

Top models to also get a sunroof.
Moving to the engine department, the new Brezza is set to remain a petrol-only SUV. The outgoing model's 1.5-litre K -Series engine is expected to be replaced by the new 1.5-litre DualJet unit from the updated Ertiga and XL6 with gearbox options expected to include a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
Expect more confirmed details of the new Vitara Brezza to drop in the coming weeks ahead of its June 30 launch.
