New Tata Zest Launched; Prices Start at Rs 4.64 Lakh

Tata Motors, the home-grown automajor, has finally launched its much anticipated sub-compact sedan - the Zest in India at a starting price of Rs 4.64 lakh (ex-showroom). The Zest is the first all-new product based on Tata Motors' 'DesigNext, DriveNext, ConnectNext' philosophy. The car has been designed with inputs from the three design studios of Tata Motors - Pune, Conventry (UK) and Turin (Italy).
The Zest gets new Tata signature grille with the new 'Humanity Line', which flows into the head-lamps. Other fascinating design elements are projector head-lamps with chrome accents, LED lamps at the rear and a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels.

Tata has offered the new car with two engine options: a 1.2-litre MPFi turbocharged Revotron petrol engine and a 1.3-litre multijet diesel units. While the diesel motor is the same that powers the Vista, the 1.2-litre Revotron is Tata's newly-developed turbocharged petrol engine. While the regular petrol and diesel variants of the car come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, there is one AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) powered diesel variant as well.
