Okinawa Autotech Reduces Prices Of Its Select Electric Scooters In Gujarat

- Okinawa reduces prices of its scooters in Gujarat, after new EV policy
- Okinawa iPraise+ receives the biggest price cut, of Rs. 37,892
- Okinawa has over 5,000 customers in Gujarat
Okinawa Autotech has significantly reduced the prices of its select electric scooters in Gujarat, after the announcement of the Gujarat EV policy. Okinawa is a member of the Gujarat Energy Development Agency and the company currently has a base of 5,000 customers. The scooters which get revised pricing are the PraisePro, Ridge Plus and the iPraise Plus. The scooters get a price cut of up to Rs. 37,892. This includes the subsidy from the FAME II scheme as well. Commenting on the same Jeetender Sharma, MD & Founder of Okinawa Autotech states "The state government has made an exceptional move that would allow more buyers from the bottom of the pyramid to ride and prosper with electric two-wheelers. To help the state achieve its goal of having 2 lakh electric vehicles on the road in the next four years. In order to assist the government in achieving this aim, we are also extending our presence and footing in the region."

Earlier, with the coming of the FAME II scheme amendment, Okinawa reduced the prices of its electric scooters. Okinawa had reduced the prices on its scooters from Rs. 7,200 to Rs. 17,900, with the Okinawa iPraise+ getting the biggest price cut. The FAME II scheme subsidy allows a further discount of Rs. 15,000 per kWh.
