Porsche's Mission E Concept Can Travel for More Than 500km

Porsche's Mission E Concept is an all-electric vehicle and boasts of a maximum range of more than 500 km. Looking at the overall dimensions of the car, the Mission E Concept bears a lot of resemblance to the Panamera and hence this is what a distant generation of the Panamera might look like.
The Mission E Concept adopts an all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering system, with power coming from two electric motors providing a combined output in excess of 590bhp and all this power propels the car from a standstill to 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds. 0-200 km/h in less than 12 seconds and according to Porsche, it could do a lap around the Nurburgring in less than 8 minutes.

So to the main question, where does it get all this power from? The Porsche Mission E Concept employs an 800-volt drive system as well as a new Porsche Turbo Charging system that can recharge the battery pack up to 80% in approximately 15 minutes, thus giving enough energy juice for about 400 km. Filling up the battery is done either through the 400-volt charging station or via inductive charging without the need of any cables.
The futuristic look continues on the inside too as the Mission E Concept comes with four individual slim and lightweight seats. Since it's an EV there is no need of a transmission tunnel and that means there is some more usable place inside. There aren't any buttons or knobs either and Porsche has replaced all of this with several OLED screens.

There's also an eye-tracking system that works with a camera to detect which instrument the driver is viewing. In addition, Porsche has fitted a holographic display that extends into the passenger's side and shows individually selectable and controllable apps like media, climate control, navigation, contacts and others.
There is no word on the Mission E Concept entering production but clearly, we can't wait to see this take on the likes of the Tesla Model S. Hope Porsche's listening.
