The old-school styling on the upcoming Jawa motorcycle remains identical to the original offering of the 1970s, and one might even mistake it for a fully restored vintage bike at first glance. Take a closer look and the new liquid-cooled engine is apparent and so is the radiator mounted on what looks like a single cradle downtube frame. The twin exhaust pipes finished in chrome remain the same, while the maroon-ish paint-work with golden pinstripes looks authentic with the retro-styling. A previous spy image also revealed a chain case cover on the motorcycle.

There's ample of chrome treatment all over including the fuel tank, engine, headlamp bezel, indicators, rearview mirrors and even the rear shocks cover; and the bike rides on chrome wire-spoked wheels. The bike also comes with steel braided brake lines, possibly shared with the Mahindra Mojo parts bin, while the bike gets a disc brake at the front and a drum brake setup at the rear. A single-channel ABS unit is likely to be offered from the time of the launch.

With respect to the suspension setup, the Jawa 300 motorcycle will get telescopic forks up front that extends all the way till the instrument cluster, while the rear suspension is gas charged with piggyback reservoirs. The riding position will be upright with centre-set footrests and a wide handlebar.

The upcoming Jawa motorcycle looks promising and will lock horns against the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Engine details have been revealed and the bike will draw power from the 293 cc single-cylinder motor tuned for 27 bhp and 28 Nm of peak torque. More details on the compression ratio, firing order and more will be revealed at the unveiling event, and we do expect to hear about the pricing as well. For now, the Jawa bike certainly has us excited and we will be bringing you all the updates on November 15, live from the launch event. Stay tuned!
