Revolt Motors Releases Sketch Of Its Upcoming Smart Motorcycle

- Revolt Motors' Manesar facility has an annual capacity of 1.2 lakh units
- It will be an A.I enabled electric motorcycle
- It will be launched in June 2019
Revolt Intellicorp is a new EV startup and it has released a detailed sketch of its new, upcoming smart motorcycle. The company says smart because it will be A.I enabled and also fully connected. Looking at the sketch, the first thing that comes to mind is that it actually looks like a conventional motorcycle instead of the usual fare of electric two-wheelers. The sketch reveals a sculpted faux fuel tank along with upside down forks and a single piece step seat. There is a monoshock at the rear along with a long-ish tail piece which complements the overall styling of the bike. The headlamp also looks to be inspired by that of the Ducati Diavel. The idea behind making the motorcycle is to offer clean, sustainable, clean urban commute.

Shivam Sharma, Chief Designer, Revolt Intellicorp said, "It was an exciting process- designing our first EV and experimenting with entirely different dynamics. Apart from the technological prowess of the product, the stance and riding position make it a perfect everyday commute. It took us six months, three different directions and seven mock ups to finally arrive at the design you will see coming alive soon."
Revolt Motors an upcoming EV startup, founded by Rahul Sharma, who is also the co-founder of Micromax mobile phones. The company has been setup on an investment of about Rs. 400 crore to Rs. 500 crore. The company has a manufacturing facility in Manesar, which has a capacity of 1.2 lakh units of electric motorcycles in the first phase, which is actually more than twice the size of the entire electric two-wheeler market.

Coming to the motorcycle itself, it will be fully electric, and will have an embedded 4G LTE SIM as well. The product will have a range of about 150 kilometres on a single charge and will have a lithium-ion battery pack which can be swapped. The top-speed has been limited to 85 kmph. While the battery and the electric motor will be imported, the battery management system and the electronic control unit were designed in house.
