Skoda Kushaq Bookings Cross 10,000 Mark

Skoda Auto India launched the Kushaq compact SUV in the country in June this year and prices for the car began from a competitive Rs. 10.50 lakh. The company has now revealed that it has received more than 10,000 bookings for the Kushaq SUV and that is a good sign for the manufacturer. Zac Hollis, Brand Director -Skoda Auto India, said, "Despite unprecedented pressures caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the supply challenges, we are delighted to announce that we have crossed the 10,000 bookings milestone for the Kushaq. The Kushaq was made keeping in mind what matters most to customers, and it is a matter of pride for us that the car is finding its way to many Indian homes"

The Kushaq now comes with 6 airbags and TPMS in the top spec automatic variant
It was in the first week of August that the company announced that it had received 6000 bookings for the SUV and now having crossed the 10,000 mark, there looks to be a sustained demand for the car. The Skoda Kushaq is built on an India-specific MQB-A0-IN platform with over 95 per cent of local content. The Kushaq SUV is priced in the range of Rs. 10.50 lakh to Rs. 17.60 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is available in a total of seven variants across three trims - Active, Ambition and Style.

The Kushaq is available in 3 variants
Under the hood, the Skoda Kushaq SUV is offered with a choice of two petrol engines - a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI. The former is tuned to make 113 bhp and 175 Nm of peak torque and comes paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox along with optional six-speed automatic transmission. The latter makes 148 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque and comes mated with a 6-speed manual and an optional seven-speed DSG gearbox.
