Skoda Rapid gets a special edition 'Ultima' at Rs 8.30 lakh

Skoda India has launched the Rapid Ultima - a special edition of the car at a starting price of Rs 8.30 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The company had earlier given a clue towards introducing limited editions of their cars, and the Ultima is the first product of those. Launched in two variants, the special edition will be available across all Skoda authorized dealerships for a limited period only. Receiving minor cosmetic alterations such as new projector headlamps, roof and side foil, the Ultima manages to look a little different from the regular model, though, it largely remains unchanged.
What really makes the difference is the interior of the car, as it comes with several features such as Garmin and Tom-Tom navigation, audio system with USB and Aux-in support, bluetooth phone connectivity, on-board computer, multi-function steering wheel, parking sensors, leather package, seven spoke alloys, side plaque with 'Ultima' branding, leather seat covers, floor mats with Ultima branding and door sill moldings with Ultima branding. The mid-level varaints are available with additional airbags.
All trims are offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version with a 1.6-litre MPI mill, delivers a peak power output of 103bhp @ 5250rpm with 220NM of torque @ 153-3800rpm. While, the 1.6-litre TDI diesel engined power model churns out 103bhp @ 4400rpm, with a maximum torque of 250Nm @ 1500-2500rpm. What makes the Rapid Ultima a more alluring deal is the offered exchange bonus scheme of Rs. 15, 000 and a corporate benefit of Rs. 10, 000. The company has also come-up with a 100 percent finance, and an EMI of Rs. 9, 999 scheme.
